The Learning, Exploration, Aspiration, Preparation, & Success (LEAPS) program, a two-year initiative that seeks to prepare young people with the fundamental skills needed to thrive in the 21st century world of school, work, and life, is seeking a Program Manager to lead the implementation of LEAPS in Northwest Louisiana (NWLA).
The ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter with solid project management, relationship management, and group collaboration skills. In addition, the Program Manager should have significant knowledge of the NWLA region including its education and/or workforce development landscape, in addition to best practices in these fields. Ideally, the candidate will also be from or know Coushatta, Louisiana well.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a field relevant to IYF’s mission and programs (Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy) preferred.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in planning and implementing multi-faceted education and/or workforce development programs, in either formal or non-formal settings for young people and/or implementing community development/economic dev• Understanding and knowledge of the NWLA region including key stakeholders in education and workforce development, issues affecting youth, and current trends in youth development.
• Understanding and knowledge of Red River parish’s context, preferred.
