The Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission provides emergency service for homeless men, women, and children in Northwest Louisiana. Services include but are not limited to food, clothing, shelter, medical and dental services, one on one life coaching and more. Emergency shelter guests are included in our Guest Program under our Life Recovery Program and thus receive life changing tools and resources to help them get back on their feet.
The Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission Thrift Store and Enterprise operations serve three purposes. The first is that it provides hands on training retail Vocational Training for our Life Recovery Program students. Second, it provides quality goods at a discounted price to our low income neighbors. United Christian Home, Inc. (UCH) is a homeless shelter consisting of three properties located at 102 and 104 Fuller Street in Minden, LA, 71055. The shelter can accommodate up to 12 clients.
