Position Type: Full-Time Reports To: President and Medical Director Position Summary: The Development Coordinator for Robinson’s Rescue is responsible for managing the public relations, marketing, grant writing, and event planning efforts for our organization. Responsibilities: • Managing and creating content for social media accounts • Writing press releases, media advisories, and articles • Writing and editing quarterly e-newsletters • Cultivating relationships with the media, granting organizations, donors, volunteers, and other constituents • Fundraising-sponsorships from businesses, foundations, and families • Best in Sheaux – sponsorship, set-up, volunteer organization, and co-ordinate event • Researching, writing, and reporting on foundation and government, local and national grants • Designing or working with our printing company to design invitations, fliers, and other collateral materials • Editing and updating content on our website • Planning and executing Yappy Hour fundraisers, Calendars, and other fundraising events • Creating fundraising campaigns for events such as Give For Good • Tracking the use of our SSNIP free spay/neuter program and brainstorming ways to increase education and use of program • Entering donations into our CRM donor database- Bloomerang • Sending donation thank you letters • Planning, inviting guests to, and conducting tours of our clinics • Cultivating, training, managing, and scheduling volunteers • Planning group volunteer activities for events such as the Day of Caring • Conducting community outreach to educate pet-owners about our free and low-cost spay/neuter program


Knowledge and Skills: • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills – verbal and written • Strong organizational skills • Ability to work some weekends and evenings • Valid Driver’s License and vehicle is required • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Hootsuite and other social media platforms • Working knowledge of email marketing platforms, such as MailChimp • Working knowledge of WordPress-based websites • Experience using graphic design platforms such as Adobe Photoshop is desired • Experience using video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Filmora is desired • Experience using customer relationship databases (CRMs) such as Bloomerang, eTapestry, Raiser’s Edge, etc. is desired Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, public relations, mass communications, or similar field • Experience working in the field of marketing and public relations • Experience working for a nonprofit organization is desired
